故事设定在《废头》世界的1042年前，以机器人“罗宾”作为主角。罗宾原本作为护卫，随同调查队长特里斯前往地下世界调查异常情况。尽管肩负保护特里斯的使命，但调查队却遭到了人工生命体马里甘的邪教组织“吉拉教”的袭击。在压倒性的战力差距下，调查队陷入苦战。然而，在这场激烈的交锋中，他们发现了次元的扭曲，并逐步揭开地下世界隐藏的秘密与异变的真相。
