在名为纳瓦利亚王国的小岛，有着这样的习俗：王位继承者必须与国王指定的人结婚。对恋爱充满憧憬的公主玛格丽塔（羽月希 饰），对于没有爱情的婚姻感到绝望，投海自杀之际，在神的引导下发现一本日本少女漫画。第一次看到男女之间浓厚的爱情，这让玛格丽塔欣喜不已。在教堂祷告的同时，玛利亚神像指引玛格丽塔「命运之人就在日本」。从国王那得到许可前往日本后，玛格丽塔进入漫画界成为匠人的弟子……
