铁甲无敌玛利亚

  太阳党是一个恐怖组织,其首领救世主(林国斌 饰)善于开发战争机器人,他和女友玛利亚(叶倩文 饰)经常利用自己开发的机器人“先锋一号”大肆破坏。由于“先锋一号”威力强大,警方也常常束手无策。小徐原是英雄党的一分子,后来对自己团伙的所作所为深感不满而在师傅的担保下脱离了该组织。一次小徐在酒吧偶遇了专为警方开发战争机器人的专家阿毛(岑建勋 饰),两人一见如故,成为了好朋友。岂料太阳党因此怀疑小徐出卖了自己,因此派出新研制的机器人——外形和玛利亚一模一样的“先锋二号”追杀小徐;更糟糕的是,警方亦因此怀疑阿毛出卖了政府,因而同时派人前来捉捕他们。一对好兄弟,能否逃出生天?

好像一切都很糟糕

Ayşe, Ali, Mehmet and Zeynep are middle-class millennials struggling to make ends meet in Istanbul. Either still living with their parents or hardly getting by without help from their families, they are all beset by similar woes: money crunch, joblessness, social isolation. In view of the world’s horrors that Zeynep enumerates in her diary entries, these are minor problems, ‘slight disasters’, but they are all-consuming, at least to the extent of making them cry in the still of the night.   However, Umut Subasi’s first feature, Almost Entirely a Slight Disaster, is not a melodrama. With an appealingly light touch, it diagnoses the malaise of a generation that has run up against a dead end, one whose future prospects are indistinguishable from a game of chance. This is a world where astrology, the lottery and online personality tests compete with visa and job applications as life-shaping elements.   Fittingly, the film is structured around chance and coincidence, with its handful of characters encountering each other in every permutation, as though there were no world outside this small social bubble.
