在一个狂风暴雨之夜，可怕惊心的血腥事件接连发生。女工程师魏敏和建筑公司总经理毛志海相继离奇坠楼身亡。接到报案后，侦探长陈庭和干警奉命赶往现场勘查。更为离奇的是，在事故发生之前的数日，市委便收到了毛经理即将死亡的匿名信。因此市委相关领导高度重视此事，责令陈庭尽快破案。而就在案发后不久，接连数日情绪反常的建筑公司女书记方品也死于非命。警方顺藤摸瓜找到了担任司机的李波，继而发现更多疑点。与此同时，方品的儿子方小华以及在公司担任会计同时也是魏敏妹妹的魏莲也走入警方视野。扑朔迷离的案情背后，是无止境的欲望对生命的残害……
